New Delhi: On the auspicious occasion of Ram Navami, the President of India, Smt. Droupadi Murmu, extended her heartfelt greetings to citizens across the country and Indians living abroad, conveying wishes of happiness and prosperity.
In her message, the President highlighted the deep cultural and spiritual significance of the festival, which marks the birth of Lord Rama, revered as Maryada Purushottam. She noted that the life and ideals of Lord Rama continue to serve as a guiding force, teaching the values of truth, justice, discipline, and moral conduct.
Emphasising the relevance of these ideals in modern society, the President stated that following the path of righteousness and duty is essential for individual growth as well as national progress. She underscored that the life of Lord Rama inspires citizens to fulfil their responsibilities towards society with sincerity and commitment.
Calling for collective responsibility, the President urged people to imbibe the teachings of Lord Rama in their daily lives and contribute to building a harmonious and inclusive society. She encouraged citizens to dedicate themselves to the service of the nation through unity in thought, word, and action.
President Murmu also expressed hope that the festival would strengthen the cultural fabric of the nation and inspire people to uphold the timeless values that form the foundation of Indian civilization.
