By: Editor, Pratibimb – A special lecture on “Vartamaan Vaishvik Paridrishya Mein Swadeshi Ki Bhumika” was organized at the Salman Ghani Hashmi Auditorium, Zakir Husain Delhi College (Evening), University of Delhi on 2nd April,2026. The programme was jointly organized by Vimarsh - The Philosophy Society and PRATIBIMB - The Political Science Society.
The event commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by the Chief Guest, Shri Kashmiri Lal, Akhil Bharatiya Sanghatak, Swadeshi Jagran Manch, along with Prof. Bharat Singh, Principal, Dr. Amreen, Dr. Arvind Kumar Mishra, Dr. Manoj Kumar Yadav, and Dr. Zafer Iqbal. The University of Delhi Kulgeet was subsequently rendered, lending a formal academic tone to the proceedings.
Saplings were presented to the dignitaries as a gesture of respect and sustainability. Shri Kashmiri Lal was felicitated by Dr. Arvind Kumar Mishra, while Prof. Bharat Singh was honoured by Dr. Manoj Kumar Yadav.
The theme of the lecture was introduced by Dr. Amreen, followed by a formal introduction of the Chief Guest by Dr. Arvind Kumar Mishra, who highlighted his contributions and achievements.
In his address, Shri Kashmiri Lal underscored the importance of Swadeshi in the contemporary global order, advocating self-reliance, indigenous production, and cultural rootedness. His lecture presented a strong and assertive pro-India perspective, encouraging the audience to engage with questions of national development and economic sovereignty in a globalized world.
The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from students and faculty members across disciplines.
The event concluded successfully with a question and answer session, marking a meaningful academic engagement on a subject of contemporary relevance.
