Khagaria, Bihar: On Thursday, a fire broke out in Madhopur village, Parbatta block, Khagaria district. It burned down the house of local resident Agnidev Singh and turned it to ashes. People who live in the area said that the fire began soon in the afternoon and that smoke came from the side of the home. The fire spread swiftly because of the unknown combustible material. The family had very little time to protect their belongings. A massive fire completely destroyed the home. Burned wooden homes, scorched appliances, and ash-coated food and clothing littered the area.

People who lived nearby claimed they tried to put out the fire with water from hand pumps and buckets, but it didn't work. Singh stated, "The fire completely destroyed everything in the house, including food, clothes, and important papers." The home burned down totally because of the excessive outburst of fire, as per the residents. The fire brigade took too long to get there.
Singh stated that the timely evacuation of family members prevented any injuries. However, the residents have not only lost a significant amount of money, but they have also lost their only home. Locals in the neighborhood were unhappy with the delay in emergency services getting there and how far away firefighting equipment was in the rural area. They wanted better preparation and faster methods to react.
