ISRO has successfully carried out the launch of Gaganyaan-1, the first uncrewed test flight Satish Dhawan Space Centre, India : The Indian Space Research Organisation ( ISRO ) has achieved another historic milestone with the successful launch of Gaganyaan-1 , the first uncrewed test flight under India’s ambitious human spaceflight program. The launch took place from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota , with the Gaganyaan spacecraft entering an orbit of 170 x 408 km. This mission is a crucial step in India’s efforts to send humans into space for the first time, aiming for a crewed mission in the near future. The Gaganyaan-1 mission carried Vyommitra , a humanoid robot developed by ISRO, to simulate crew interactions and monitor onboard systems.
