New Delhi  – In a significant boost to  infrastructure and pilgrimage tourism , the  Union Cabinet  has approved the ambitious  ₹4,081 crore Kedarnath Ropeway Project , which will drastically reduce the travel time for devotees visiting the sacred Kedarnath shrine . The project aims to enhance accessibility and provide a  safer, faster, and more convenient  journey for thousands of pilgrims every year. 🚡 Ropeway to Cut Travel Time from 8-9 Hours to Just 36 Minutes Currently, pilgrims undertake a  16 km trek from Gaurikund to Kedarnath , which takes approximately  8 to 9 hours .
