Delhi: At around 10 AM on Shaheed Diwas, people gathered in Delhi to pay tribute to Bhagat Singh. Students, local residents, and officials were seen placing flowers and standing in silence. The atmosphere was calm, with many holding posters and raising slogans remembering the freedom fighter.
A statue of Bhagat Singh was unveiled during the event, and a historic trial room linked to his case was also restored. “This is not just about history, it’s about learning from it,” said one attendee. The Delhi Chief Minister also paid tribute at the site.
Participants said such events are important to keep the legacy alive among youth. Many young visitors were seen taking part actively, showing growing interest in the country’s freedom movement.
